Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect on a Jet Boat Colorado tour?

All trips are custom charters tailored to your group. If your group is ready to get wet and wild; cowboy spins, fishtails, power slides and speed runs are on the menu. Feel the power and the performance of our custom tour boat, plan on a surge of adrenaline, getting wet and a smile that cannot be wiped off. For those groups that prefer to stay dry, we will show you a scenic river tour like no other. Your fun and knowledgeable driver will slow things down to share the history, geology and lore of the Colorado River. All our jet boat tours are informative, exciting and fun for the entire family.

How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?

We recommend booking your trip as soon as you know when you would like to go. Some dates fill fast.

What is Jet Boat Colorado's cancellation policy?

All cancellations require 48 hours notice. Any seats not canceled 48 hours prior to trip will be charged 100% of the fare unless seats are filled by another paying fare.

How do I make a reservation?

Book HERE on our web site or call (970) 644-1121.

How do seating arrangements work?

All seating is managed by the driver. Safety is our priority and your driver will do their best to keep families and groups together. The driver reserves the right to alter, designate, or change any passenger's seat for any reason at any time.

When should we arrive to check-in?

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time to meet your driver, fit your life jacket and finish required paperwork. Please be advised that if you are late your seat will be sold to stand-by customers. You will be charged the full amount if the seat cannot be re-sold and the trip departs without you.

What is the season for Jet Boating?

Jet Boat Colorado operates every day from mid-May through mid-September. Trips can be scheduled any time of the year by appointment.

Are there any age or size limitations?

Not really, it has more to do with each person's sense of adventure, physical size, and condition. All participants must fit into one of our USCG approved lifejackets that fit up to 300 lbs. With kids, the parents know their children best. Children should be at least 40" tall and 50lbs to participate in our tour. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office.

What if I have health issues?

Only guests in good health should participate in a Jet Boat Colorado ride. Jet Boat tours can create forces that may not be appropriate for some. For your safety, do not ride if you are pregnant, have any medical/health condition, have had any recent surgeries, or are in poor physical condition.

Are life jackets provided?

Life jackets are provided and mandatory for all passengers.

How should I dress for the trip?

For most days, shorts, T-shirts and sandals work well, and quick-drying materials are best. Avoid jeans; they are uncomfortable when wet and dry slowly. Please note that Colorado weather changes quickly. Bring a rain jacket with you. If it is cool or overcast, you will want to wear it. Leave it in the car if not. Hats and sunglasses are recommended with a retainer. Please leave wallets, purses, backpacks, and bags secured in your vehicle.

May I bring my electronic devices?

Bringing your electronic devices onboard is not recommended. Being on a boat there is the possibility that it will get wet. Splash and spray will enter the boats. Bring electronic items at your own risk. Jet Boat Colorado cannot be responsible for damage or loss of any electronic equipment. If your vehicle uses an electronic key, we can hold it in our office while you are on the water.

Are foods, beverages, alcohol or smoking allowed?

Nonalcoholic beverages in plastic containers are allowed on the boats. Please leave food items in your vehicle. Alcohol and smoking are not allowed on the boats or dock areas at any time.

How many people ride in the boats?

From 9 to 11 passengers depending on the size of the individuals. If you have more riders than this, we can run "back to back" tours with your party.
