About The Boats
Welcome aboard Brumby and Wild Mustang!
Built in North Carolina, Brumby and Wild Mustang are US Coast Guard approved and based on New Zealand designs. They are 20 feet long with theater-style seating for up to 10 passengers and a driver. Built for high speeds and excellent maneuverability, Brumby and Wild Mustang will have your heart pounding as soon as you lay eyes on them.
The power comes from a GM 6.2 liter, L86, fuel injected engines that makes 420 horsepower and 460 ft. lbs. of torque. This is the same power plant that is used in new Chevrolet trucks and is specially outfitted by KEM equipment of Oregon for marine use.
Instead of a traditional exposed propeller, Wild Mustang and Brumby propulsion is achieved by the use of a Hamilton 212 jet unit connected to the powerful engines. Water is drawn into the jet unit, accelerated and forced through a nozzle near the water line at the stern of The Boats. This technology allows us to run in water only 4 inches deep and travel through places that propeller-driven boats will not go. Because the jet unit has no external propeller it is also safer and friendlier to fish, wildlife and humans.
